Geographic Information Systems class was a course designed to introduce the concepts and theories of geographic information systems (GIS) and the practicality of solving real-world problems. The practice of geospatial analysis consisted applying components within lecture and laboratory to display Geographic Information. I explored and analyzed hands-on exercises to design new ways of interpreting and illustrating information through a visual representation. The geospatial software QGIS was used by the class, as by numerous professions, to conduct inventory & analysis through the evaluation and representation of natural resources conservation, sustainability, business management, social justice, and community planning. All these maps were exercises assigned by the professor to analyze and represent multiple areas of interest within demographics, topography, national-regional parks, elevation and social equity.
